I hope you had a good week and a joyous Purim! Life is full of twists and turns. Unpredictably that has us holding on for dear life, hoping and praying for a positive outcome. Such was the Purim story, full of dramatic twists and turns, each episode seemingly unrelated to the one before or to the one that came after. Yet, when we unravel and read the Megillah in its entirety, as one extended story, it all comes together. Each 'coincidence' was in fact a moment of divine providence, that becomes crystal clear at the end of the story. Life is full of turbulence, moments that call us to dig deep, to let go and to recognise that we have a pilot, one in whom we can trust has a solid flight plan. May our flight through life always be smooth, filled with joy and good health, but when when it gets bumpy, we buckle up, hold on tight, control what we can, stay positive and have faith in Gd, our Pilot. Enjoy our 'Let's Fly' Purim dinner video below! Shabbat Shalom and safe travels!

This week's PARSHA is Tzav (Leviticus 6:1–8:36) G‑d instructs Moses to command Aaron and his sons regarding their duties and rights as kohanim (“priests”) who offer the korbanot (animal and meal offerings) in the Sanctuary. The fire on the altar must be kept burning at all times. In it are burned the wholly consumed ascending offering; veins of fat from the peace, sin and guilt offerings; and the “handful” separated from the meal offering. The kohanim eat the meat of the sin and guilt offerings, and the remainder of the meal offering. The peace offering is eaten by the one who brought it, except for specified portions given to the kohen. The holy meat of the offerings must be eaten by ritually pure persons, in their designated holy place and within their specified time. Aaron and his sons remain within the Sanctuary compound for seven days, during which Moses initiates them into the priesthood. © Copyright, all rights reserved, Chabad.org. |
