The final days of the High Holydays season begin tonight with Shmini Atzeret and Simchat Torah! Yizkor is recited tomorrow on Shmini Atzeret, this time with a tinge of joy, as if to dance with the Soul of our loved ones. Shmini Atzeret also features the prayer for rain and marks the start of the rainy season in Israel. And then Tues night and Wed is Simchat Torah! Whilst upsetting that we won't be dancing, singing and saying L'chaim in Shule, that shouldn't stop us from celebrating the Torah and our Judaism! For some Simchat Torah cheer you're welcome to walk past our home, 7 Vadlure Ave, tomorrow Tues, between 4-5pm. Pick up a treat & a flag and have a special moment with a real Torah! Strictly one family at a time, no gatherings. Please wear your mask and remain on the footpath. This Simchat Torah let us all celebrate our deep personal connection to our Judaism, our heritage and our Torah. We will say a L'chaim with a prayer on our lips, that very soon we will all be back in our Shule together, celebrating with and reading from our beautiful Torah, in good health! Shmini Atzeret & Simchat Torah Starts / Ends Tonight, 27 Sept: Light candles at 6:03pm Tuesday, 28 Sept: Light candles after 7:01pm (from an existing flame) Wednesday, 29 Sept: Chag ends at 7:02pm
