Dear , I trust you've had a good start to the week.
The next few days are some of the most powerful in the Jewish calendar, as we mourn those who gave their lives for Israel and victims of terror on Yom Hazikaron (Mon night/Tues), and then move into the celebration of the modern miracle of the State of Israel on Yom Ha'atzmaut (Tues night/Wed).
Yom Hazikaron begins tonight. In this moving clip - filmed at Israel's national cemetery on Mt. Herzl - Maj (res) Aviv Wishkovsky talks about the young people buried there, who died defending the State of Israel and what their sacrifice means to him, to the young people who wear the uniform of the IDF today and to all of the people of Israel.
