Here we are bracing ourselves for what will be a very different Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur. We won’t be singing the Elwood classics together, nor will we be witnessing hundreds of children gather around the Bima for the blowing of the Shofar. We will all miss the buzz and electricity in the air, that unique and unparalleled Elwood energy that elevates the room and all who are in it.

It’s difficult to fathom. It hurts.

But – we’re on the cusp of a New Year. A time to exhale the old and inhale the new.

It is up to each of us to try and find the positive and make the most of this High Holyday season. To enjoy it with our nearest and dearest and to make it as meaningful as possible. Creating special and unique memories.

We can only go upwards from here!  We will get through this. We will be back in our beautiful Shule – Bigger, better and more committed than ever before! We will be back sitting around our Yom Tov tables with family and friends. Amen!
